Mighty Servants!!!!  Thank you for your help and support and prayers for these mission trips to Hidalgo at the Mexican border.  There were five of us on this trip and it was the best one ever.  Many people touched by the Lord and helps with clothes and rice and beans—all for His Glory!!!

I look at these images on this email and I see Pastors Paula and George in Austin and on the border with Mexico and I get excited! They’re available.

I see the images of Pastor Kristiina Keravuori from Finland. Why’s she on the street in Texas praying for people? She’s available. And I get excited. Her availability means God can do miracles!

How do you get to have amazing spiritual experiences? It’s not from watching television all night. It’s not from fine dining. It’s not from doing charity social work either. It’s sometimes not even from reading God’s Word. It’s only from being available to other people and daring to stand on God’s Word for their sakes. Good experiences come from doing things alone. Great experiences come from doing things alone with God. But truly AMAZING EXPERIENCES come from doing things with God for the sake of other people.

Sometimes your friend is sick. God’s got power to heal and to help but it won’t leave your hands unless you make yourself available.

Sometimes a complete stranger needs God’s counsel or comfort. It’s not going to reach that person via you until you’re available.

Available for what? Well, look at these images. Available for baptising someone. Available for praying for a complete stranger. Available for praising God and declaring the name of Jesus in public. Available for ministering with others. Available for taking a microphone and preaching to the homeless, the drug enslaved, the hungry, the lost and the forlorn.

I have to admit, when I am tied down with stuff that takes me away from ministry and I look at the video clips coming out of the Angels Healing and Recovery Church in Austin Texas, I get super excited. I know those people. I have prayed and worshipped with those people. They’re thousands of miles away form me but I am right there with them because together we have discussed ways to help the poor and the homeless and the drug affected; and I have been all around Finland on mission with Pastor Kristiina and others, and into Russia, and driven all the way down from Helsinki to Lithuania and on down to Belarus with her and all the time doing mission with her and others who have come with us.

When I see images of them I hear just one purpose from Jesus shouting out from the cross, and that is Are You Available? like he is available.

Sometimes we are available to help other people, sometimes we’re not available. But looking past helping others, I also want to turn your attention to God’s inner journey with you. Are you available to be with Him in your inner life. Are you available for the fusion-of-wills program He is running as a mantle over your life? Are you going to turn your attention to it one day, or are you just going to roll on with your life as though God doesn’t actually need you, and He’s OK ‘cos He’s got so much else to do with His time, and you don’t matter that much anyway?

That’s all a lie, isn’t it. God is real focused on you, gives you ALL his attention, and loves you so much He offered up His Son for your welfare.

I suppose the biggest lessons in learning to do the will of God perfectly with Him are those where we make ourselves available to take a saintly stance on doing the will of God with those for whom we would rather be unavailable. They’d be the unlovely, the unfriendly, the bitter and twisted, the intimidating and the ungodly. It’s real easy being available to those who love us. But it takes Jesus’ kind of sacrifice in us to press into the Father and His will when we make ourselves available to serve the spiritual needs of people in places we’d rather not be. But if we don’t go there, who will go?

I can’t tell you how proud I am of Pastor Kristiina. I knew her before she made herself available, and I have seen what God has done in her life and for the lives of others all over the Northern Hemisphere so far. Finland, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, England, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Mongolia, Korea, Japan, China, Tibet, USA, Israel, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia and many more places. All because she changed her focus and she made herself available.

God the Father has a plan to grow you such that you will hunger to see His face, hunger to do His will with Him, and hunger to do it perfectly. So, don’t forget to make yourself available to your own highest purpose with God will you? You’ll get a whole lot more out of live together when you do. And besides, others really need you,
